LA Roundtable #81: Same Sex Marriage - Jun 14, 2013

Same-sex marriage is a frequent topic of conversation and debate throughout the United States. While many states have legalized same-sex marriage, many others have not. Two related cases have been heard in the Supreme Court. One of those concerns a proposition passed by Californians which defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman. On this edition of “L.A. Roundtable” we discuss the institution of marriage, and whether the union of a gay couple is akin to the marriage of a two-sex couple, including the issue of raising children.

Our participants include Jennifer Morse, President of the Ruth Institute, which is a project of the National Organization for Marriage, and John Henning, representing LoveHonorCherish, whose mission is to restore the legality of same-sex marriage in California.
