LA Roundtable #55: California's Dysfunctional State Government - Mar 10, 2009

Former California State Governors, Pete Wilson and Gray Davis; LA Times Reporter Michael Hiltzik; and Joel Fox, lecturer at Pepperdine University and consultant on public policy issues, gather to discuss “California’s Dysfunctional State Government.”  This program explores why our state government seems to work so poorly; why the state is always short of cash; why the governor can't get along with the legislature; why the legislators can't get along with each other; and the relationship between state government and local bodies, including the County and City of Los Angeles and the school district.  And, most importantly, what can be done to solve some of these problems?
